1.Automatic Mode-Auto mode tells your camera to use its best judgment to select shutter speed. It sets the setting for you and it just eye balls it to what you think it would need.
2.Portrait Mode-Portrait mode works best your photographing a single subject so get in close enough to your subject. It works great at advertising things like a can of read bull or a object.
3.Macro Mode- Marco mode lets you move closer into your subject to take a closer picture. Marco mode is great to shoot photos out side of plane and small animals.
4.Landscape Mode-this mode is almost the exact opposite of portrait mode this mode sets you up with a smaller aputure.
5.Sports Mode-sport mode is for moving object like basket ball, football, baseball. When you use this mode it helps by slowing down the picture and making it so you can see the object that you are shooting with the camera.
6.Night Mode-this mode will help you aluminate a building in the dark. it makes things stand out more in the dark than in the light of the day.
7.Movie Mode-this one is for capturing moving object like a human walking or a ball being thrown. while using this mode why don't you try it while you are outside in the day have someone run.
8.Aperture Priority Mode (A or AV)-Shutte is very similar to aperture mode but is the mode where you select a shutter speed and the camera then chooses all of the other settings. You would use this mode where you want to control over shutter speed.
9.Shutter Priority Mode (S or TV)-Some digital cameras have this mode in addition to auto mode.
10.Program Mode (P)-Program mode is similar to Auto but gives you a little more control over some other features including flash.
11.Manual Mode-In this mode you have full control over your camera and need to think about all settings including shutter speed, aperture ISO, white balance, flash. It gives you the ability to set your shots up as you wish. You also need to have some idea of what you are doing in this mode to get it right you must lean.
